Hi Joseph -- the hay-ku was coined by a friend on gather and, after a few complaints (surprisingly few, actually) about the "non-traditional" nature of what is offered, I figured calling it hay-ku would be a kind of disclaimer. Although "intellectual haiku" (which is a real oxymoron from a Zen perspective) is an apt description, I perfer (maybe its the military background) "Smart bombs to target deeply embedded patterns of self-centered thought."
